Information from the diocesan synod
In our diocesan synod, the phase of the diocesan consultations of the II. phase is currently reaching its peak. Most of the synod delegates have already completed the sixth of the “7 steps on the path of the II. phase”, which we presented at synoda.bip.cz/timeline (listening to suggestions from their surroundings), and are working on the seventh step (developing their own proposals for solutions to selected areas, which we look forward to receiving by May 31, the final deadline for submitting these proposals).
This is a kind of “royal road” for our synod (for which we pray every Sunday in the synod prayer), where we first “listen to one another in love”, and based on that, we boldly “uncover the truth of Jesus” together, so that the delegates, enriched by this common discernment, can propose what specific “paths of life we will bravely embark on with hope”.
However, if you have not yet found an opportunity in your surroundings for any reason to contribute your practical wisdom to this common discernment, which way the Holy Spirit is leading us in our diocese and what specific paths will open up before us in the coming years, do not despair and choose the “area for solution” that is closest to you (synoda.bip.cz/oblasti), or take a look at the proposed wording of the “diocesan vision” (synoda.bip.cz/vize), and write to us directly at synoda@bip.cz anything that comes to your mind. Even these individual voices can ultimately be an important complement and enrichment of the common “royal road”.
