Tomorrow, Friday, October 25th at 10 AM, a day-long retreat with Fr. Jan Kotas will begin the general assembly of the first phase of the diocesan synod at Haus Johannisthal. For four days, 96 synod delegates (along with another 15 members of the organizing team) will move here to attempt to realistically describe the pastoral situation of the Plzeň diocese through shared reflection on the working document in three areas: mission, organization, and management.
This morning, part of the organizing team gathered at the "scene of the action" to familiarize themselves with the area, prepare the necessary infrastructure, settle in a little both practically and spiritually, and thus be able to welcome other participants from the diocese tomorrow.
We look forward to the culmination of this year's collective journey!
